Dear MVC family,
It’s an astounding and encouraging picture, isn’t it? The Lord is leading us securely on the path forward as a school, even in the midst of a world-shattering pandemic.
He has so faithfully guided and provided with enrollment growth, donor growth, and, most importantly, in the spiritual and educational growth of students, families, teachers, and the entirety of the MVC community including YOU. We have a vision in front of us of a building and developed campus, plus much, much more. You are making that vision possible!
So how do we get there?
There are hugely challenging goals before us for which we need both faith and shared commitment to achieve them. Let me be clear about where we are.
- We need to continue to give faithfully toward the year end FutureNow objectives mentioned. They will strengthen MVC both educationally and financially so we are more prepared for these next giant steps. Please make a generous FutureNow gift today.
- We need to develop leadership for a potential capital campaign. That means you talk to us if you’re willing to give and willing to ask others about giving. And it means we will be talking with you more about it in the future!
We don’t start a successful campaign by asking everyone to give toward a plan that is still under development. We can all, including you, prepare as leaders for this kind of effort, making our own commitments and then asking others to respond similarly.
- We will be developing greater detail on potential new buildings, and we will share those with you as we have solid results beyond the drawings we’ve shared here in this annual report.
- Through these steps, each one of us needs to ask God to work in our hearts and the hearts of others. Gifts will come in the right time and the right amounts if we are seeking and following Him in this process. With no doubt whatsoever, we cannot achieve these goals in our strength or with the financial resources we currently have.
It is exciting to see a more concrete picture of what can be possible for us as a school by God’s amazing grace. What we can do for each of our students will be enhanced. We can minister more of the Lord’s best for families throughout our community. The need is greater every day!
We can see this happen if, individually, we are each willing to be part of the work. Pray for that and we’ll see daunting financial goals reached out in front of us. It’s not someone else who will make it happen, it is you and me-- all of us who love Mingo Valley and who can influence others to see the value of what happens here each day! I start where I have a say in it, with myself. From there, I talk to others, asking how the Lord might be leading them. And we will get to see God work.
Very excited to be going there with you,
Dr. Boyd ChitwoodSuperintendent, Mingo Valley Christian
